Dear Resident and Family Member,

Please accept this letter as an update to the COVID test results from Monday, February 14, 2022. Upon receipt of the lab results, there Is one confirmed positive test result of a resident who resides on the third floor. Fortunately, this resident Is not experiencing any symptoms which we hope continues as
they remain in quarantine. Staff test results were all negative. Therefore, we have only one new confirmed COVID case as a result from this testing cycle.

Due to the positive resident test result, staff and visitors are required to wear N95 masks while on the units and/or in resident areas. We continue to adhere to the guidance and recommendations of DOH and the CDC and will continue to provide you with updates or any new Information as It should arise, Please be assured that our priority continues to be what is best for the residents’ safety and wellbeing. We thank you for your continued support and cooperation.

COVID has not been easy for any of us. We understand the challenges It has brought to not Just healthcare, but also to your homes. We continue to do what is necessary to make Waterview Villa a safe and happy home for our residents. Staff remain diligent with practicing proper handwashing and are mindful of the need to continue to adhere to social distancing guidelines. Visitors continue to cooperate with the requirements of providing us with proof of their vaccination and/or, evidence of a negative test result.

Our recreation department continues to be creative and remain busy with planning fun filled activities for our residents to enjoy. These special moments have provided many smiling faces I assure you that great fun is had by all who have attended. Vendors, entertainers, and guests are adhering to the new guidelines and requirements enforced by DOH however, on rare occasion, there have been Instances where they were not agreeable to wear a mask, Therefore, until such time the requirements change, those individuals will unfortunately be unable to return. However, our recreation department will secure a suitable substitute for the services they provided so that our residents will be able to continue to enjoy all activities.

Best Regards,
Lori Levine, BSW, LNHA
