October 16, 2020
Dear Family Member/ Guardian,

It is amazing how fast the week goes by and here we are at the end of another week and another e-mail to all of you. I hope this e-mail finds everyone in good health and that you have all had a great week.

Another round of staff testing was done on Tuesday due to the holiday this past Monday. As I write to you this morning, everyone has received negative results. In my previous email, I mentioned two of our staff members had tested positive, however I am happy to report that they both have returned to work and are well and healthy.

The weather is beginning to change and therefore it is time to bring the visitation inside for everyone. If you are making appointments, please note that these visits are taking place inside going forward, unless there is a day that exceeds 70 degrees. At this point, that appears to be doubtful, but given New England weather, one never knows. Indoor visitation takes place in the Main Lobby area. The furniture has been repositioned to accommodate two families at a time following social distance guidelines. We will continue with our screening process and again, everyone is required to wear a mask. Furthermore, hand sanitizer will be available when coming into the center.

Please see the attached brochure regarding the United Healthcare Nursing Home Plan. This plan was designed specifically for long-term nursing home residents with several available items of interest. Feel free to review the information provided and if you would like more information, we can schedule a time to discuss it further with you. Please note that Waterview Villa is not endorsing this plan. I leave this up to you regarding whether it may meet your loved one’s needs.

Finally, as a reminder, we continue to conduct our daily rounds, ensuring residents can voice their concerns directly to me or a member of the management team. This program is called Ambassador Rounds and is conducted 7 days per week. We have found that our residents enjoy our presence and follow-up from day-to-day.

I wish you all a very nice weekend, good health, and please be safe. Once again, any concerns or questions, feel free to call me at (401) 438-7020, ext. 121.
Sincerely,
Marc Neustadt
