Update from Administrator – October 15, 2021

Good afternoon,

After discussions with the Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) regarding our COVID positive case and visitation, we have decided to lift all restrictions on visitation.    However,  we ask that you follow these visitation guidelines:

  • All visitors must be screened at the receptionist desk and will be given an N-95 mask to wear while in the building.
  • Visitors who state they are vaccinated may visit their loved one or friend on the patient unit.
  • Residents who are currently in quarantine may not have visitors but can participate in a virtual visit on facetime.
  • Residents may have two visitors at a time visit them in their room.  If the roommate wishes to stay in the room, the privacy curtain should be pulled between the beds.
  • Outdoor visits, weather permitting are the safest way to visit and highly recommended.
  • When visiting, please practice social distancing and good hand hygiene.  Please sanitize your hands before and after your visit.
  • If you plan on taking your family member out of the building in your vehicle, please give nursing at least 48 hours’ notice.  We need this time to coordinate scheduled medication needs and time to assess your family members’ transfer and transportation needs.
  • Please refrain from large gatherings and large groups when leaving the building and make sure your family member is wearing their mask.
  • Residents may resume participation in group activities, dining and other social events.
  • Virtual visits via facetime are always an option.  Please call recreation to schedule a virtual visit.

Please note that if we have new cases of COVID, we will have to reassess our visitation policy.

I apologize for these inconveniences.

Thank you.
