Update from Administrator – May 19, 2022
May 19, 2022
Dear Resident & Family member,
Please accept this letter as update to the COVID-19 outbreak within our facility. To date, there are eight positive residents and four positive employees. As you can see from my previous letter sent out on Monday, there is one new confirmed resident case. We continue to communicate with RIDOH and adhere to the guidelines they provide to assist us with effective infection control protocols. In collaborating with the infectious disease preventionist liaison assigned to our facility, she has recommended we change our testing days. Rather than test residents and staff every five days, moving forward, we will be testing twice a week however, on the same days until we reach a fourteen-day consecutive period with no positive test results. Therefore, please note, our new designated testing days will be on Monday and Thursday.
We are happy to report those with confirmed test results are medically stable. There are some experiencing mild respiratory symptoms however, several remain asymptomatic. As always, we appreciate your patience, support and understanding and feel confident that this too shall pass. Until such time, please stay well. We look forward to the days ahead friends!
Best regards,
Lori Levine, BSW, LNHA
