Dear Family Member,
I hope you have had a safe and relaxing summer! Waterview Villa residents and staff have been free of Covid-19 for the past few months until today.
We have received confirmation that one vaccinated staff member has tested positive for Covid-19. This staff member is currently recovering at home under quarantine and has not worked in the facility since Monday.
Effective immediately, all staff members working on the resident units must wear an N-95 mask, family members and visitors must continue to wear a surgical mask in the facility but may wish to wear N-95 mask for added protection. If you do, please obtain one at the receptionists’ desk.
At this time, in-room visitation will continue. However, if there are more cases of Covid-19 in the building, we could be directed by the Department of Health to restrict or close patient visitation.
We currently have 89% of our staff vaccinated as we push to get 100% of them vaccinated by October 1st per the Department of Health vaccination mandate.
As always, patient safety is our number one objective. I will keep you posted on this situation when I have more information.
